Social Traders business and government members SAP have made a commitment to fund the development of the social enterprise sector in Australia.

SAP’s Intelligent Spend and Business Network (SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, SAP Concur) is one of the most influential procurement platforms in the world and the organisation has long been committed to supporting a range of important social problems globally. In 2022, SAP is providing eight Social Traders Grow membership packages for certified social enterprises. Grow membership is a supportive social enterprise development program, tailored for those wanting to take their business model to new heights.

Social enterprises are an innovative breed of business that exist to create impact through trade. With purpose at the heart of their business model it can be challenging to capitalise opportunities and know how to scale their revenue and subsequent impact. Social Traders Grow members receive one-to-one expert advice and tailored support to increase their visibility to new customers. Just some of the additional services available in ‘Grow’ include; personalised account management, promotion to Social Traders business and government members, referrals to relevant business partners and 1:1 advisory sessions to build business capability.

SAP initially became business and government members in 2020 due to our robust social enterprise certification standards, helping them to de-risk their social procurement program. The launch of its 'Partnership with purpose' initiative was then backed by its commitment to spend ‘5 and 5 by 2025’. The Grow sponsorship program this year further demonstrates the organisation’s dedication to support the social enterprise sector to develop and grow.
